IO Interactive has announced the next elusive target for Hitman: World of Assassination, and it’s none other than Mads Mikkelsen’s LeChiffre from the movie Casino Royale. You don’t have to wait to play, as the new elusive target, called The Banker, is being added to the game today, June 6, the developer announced at Summer Game Fest.
Mikkelsen himself returns for this new DLC, and he appeared on stage at Summer Game Fest to hype it up. The new elusive target comes with in-game items to acquire, including a new “King of Cards” suit, silenced pistol, rope, and casino chip. The elusive target is available now through July 6.
“LeChiffre is a character I have always enjoyed–he’s calculating, cold, and ruthless,” Mikkelsen said. “Bringing him into the world of Hitman makes for a thrilling collaboration. Players can expect mind games, high stakes, and twists that only this character could orchestrate. To succeed, they’ll need to play their hand wisely.”
Here’s the official description for The Banker, as written by IO:
“A recent failed venture left him in dire straits, losing vast sums of both legitimate and illicit capital, and in a desperate bid to recover, he has arranged a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Monarchique in Paris. Agent 47 has been tasked with infiltrating the perilous event and will have to find his way to his target to prevent havoc being wreaked across the world.”
IO is also making a brand-new James Bond game, 007: First Light, but it’s not releasing until 2026. Everyone who plays the new LeChiffre elusive target will unlock special content for First Light, the Casino Suit, if they also connect their IOI account.
The Banker elusive target is available to buy for $5 USD.
Mikkelsen is not the first famous person to appear in Hitman as an elusive target. Previous elusive target missions had players tracking down and killing Sean Bean and Gary Cole, among others.
