Trends come and go, but vocaloid mascot Hatsune Miku is eternal. If you’re a fan of the virtual idol, then you can look forward to a new collaboration with Asus that dresses up some of the company’s PC hardware in Miku colors, similar to its previous crossovers with anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Mobile Suit Gundam.
The tech and Miku partnership will cover a wide selection of PC parts, allowing people to essentially buy a themed PC, and so far, details on a special-edition keyboard, mouse, mouse pad, and a headset have all been revealed. Each item is dressed up in Miku’s signature white, turquoise, and pink colorway. Other PC hardware on the way includes a Miku-themed GeForce 5060 Ti GPU, a branded PC case, water-cooler, and a Wi-Fi router.
The exact pricing and release dates for each item haven’t been revealed yet, but the line is expected to arrive later this year. Here’s a closer look at everything on the way.
Asus TUF Gaming K3 Gen 2 keyboard
The Miku edition of the K3 keyboard sports a vibrant mixture of colors, as well as a cybernetic-themed layout. On the technical side, the 97-key-layout keyboard has a rear-cable-management slot that allows for cleaner desktop setups, IP57-rated water and dust resistance, optical-mechanical RGB switches with N-key rollover, 100% anti-ghosting, and an estimated lifespan of 100 million keypresses.
Asus Mini Wireless Mouse
For the mouse, the color layout here is predominantly white with turquoise and hot pink accents, and there’s a Miku symbol on it as well. Weighing 2.29 ounces, the mouse features a 12,000-dpi optical sensor with a 1000Hz polling rate, tri-mode connectivity, and mechanical switches rated for up to 100 million clicks.
Asus P1 mouse pad
Nothing too dramatic here, as the P1 mouse pad features Miku front and center. This 10 x 14-inch mouse pad features a protective coating for a water-resistant surface, and Asus says that it has a “gaming-grade” cloth surface for accurate mouse tracking, anti-fray stitching,, and a rubber non-slip base.
Asus H1 Gen 2 headset
Rounding off the new selection of themed Asus gear is this H1 Gen 2 headset. It’s not an audiophile-grade headset, but it does offer a robust selection of features like virtual 7.1 surround sound, a TeamSpeak-certified unidirectional boom microphone, and 40mm Asus Essence drivers. Designed for long gaming sessions, this is a lightweight build that utilizes a USB-A connection, making it compatible with both PC and PS5.
