Lego Star Wars: The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz is on sale for $38 (was $55) at Amazon. It’s one of two Star Wars Lego sets with official Prime Day discounts. Amazon’s nearly $50 discount on the 1,555-piece Imperial Star Destroyer isn’t all that surprising, but the existence of the BrickHeadz deal is fairly bizarre.
Like most BrickHeadz, this six-pack of Phantom Menace characters was exclusive to the Lego Store when it launched last year as part of Episode I’s 25th anniversary celebrations. It remained exclusive until it was retired by Lego in December. Though Amazon sometimes randomly restocks retired Lego sets, such as this R2-D2 model, those products were typically already sold out at Amazon.
But now The Phantom Menace BrickHeadz has essentially been revived from the dead as an Amazon-exclusive set. We’re guessing this happened because Amazon loves Jar Jar Binks. Or Jar Jar is simply too powerful to die.

The 732-piece Phantom Menace BrickHeadz set includes six characters from Star Wars Episode I:
- Jar Jar Binks
- Anakin Skywalker
- Darth Maul
- Queen Amidala
- Captain Panaka
- Qui-Gon Jinn
With 732 pieces spread across six builds, you’re looking at an average of 122 pieces per blocky character–though young Anakin is understandably smaller in stature than the other five. Jar Jar, Darth Maul, and the other three “full-sized” figures are roughly 2.5 inches tall.
BrickHeadz figures have a distinctive, blocky look that is more cartoonish than the many other buildable figures in the Lego Star Wars collection that aim for realism. That said, the character wardrobes and designs still pull from the source material. For instance, Anakin is dressed in his racing outfit worn at the Mos Espa Podracing Circuit on Tatooine; Darth Maul wields the double-sided red lightsaber; and Queen Amidala’s dress, hair, and accessories make this figure immediately recognizable.
Jar Jar Binks deserves a larger Lego display model like the Chewbacca and C-3PO statues, but for now, BrickHead Jar Jar will have to do.
Though there are technically only two Prime Day Lego Star Wars deals, Amazon has plenty of other Star Wars Lego sets with nice discounts. Some of Amazon’s Star Wars Lego deals exist because the retailer is price-matching various offers in Target Circle Week and Walmart Deals sales.
